Ensure that procurement is done according to PG Bison Procedures
and acceptable Auditing Standards
Deliver a professional service to internal customers and ensure that the
required items are available on time and at the optimum price
Ensure that an efficient buying service is rendered at all times
Expediting outstanding/overdue orders
Identify new and alternative suppliers and products
Update, monitor and manage stock levels
Ensure that all administrative systems are up to date and conform to
policies
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12
Diploma in purchasing
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Buying, or proven purchasing experience, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
Contract management and supplier experience
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering and
manufacturing processes and components and supply chain management
High ERP system acumen
Proficiency in MS Office
Advanced Excel skills

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with
suppliers and key stakeholders
