Today, we seek a dedicated Safety Engineer to lead our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives. In this role, you will leverage your extensive expertise to identify and report unsafe conditions, assess risks, and implement corrective action plans. Your efforts will play a vital role in strengthening the safety culture at Konecranes and ensuring continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities:
Health & Safety:
Recording Safety observations on ARMOR
Firefighting system monitoring and handling
Monitoring of loading and unloading of trailers
Holding safety meetings with both management and safety champions
Attending KC global safety meeting and provide HSE reports quarterly & Monthly.
Giving safety training and Education continuously to safety champions and other workers
Managing First aid and medication
Coordinating with contractor for maintenance of the fire alarm system
Incident Investigation & Reporting thru the incidents, near misses, and observation via ARMOR
Create corrective plan and apply it when incidents occur.
Provide QHSE documents & Filling of HSE Questionaries for customers by working with sales department.
Inspection of safety equipment like Fire extinguishers & Lifting slings/Webs color coding.
Provide PPE and other safety material for our factory.
Risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Continuously applying Royal commission regulations and standard in order to maintain certification.
Daily safety walks in factory (Adding daily audits in ARMOR)
Monitoring of Factory floor cleanliness & Housekeeping worker.
Providing safety orientations to new hired employees
Monitoring and providing safety precautions for factory activities (Hot work, work at height, load testing, machine maintenance)
Environmental:
Coordinate with KC global environmental sustainability team(monthly)
Enter energy consumption data in Armor
Attend KC environmental sustainability meetings
What we expect you to have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required with Safety certification OSHA/NEBOSH/Knowledge of ISO 45001
A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience
Saudi Nationality
