Job Title: Procurement Officer
Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with vendors.
Purchasing and Delivery: Manage the purchasing process for goods and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Budget Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure that procurement practices comply with legal requirements and organizational policies.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
Risk Management: Identify risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Skills:

o Strong negotiation skills and financial acumen.
o Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
o Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
o Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) are a plus.
