Job Title: Inventory, Forecasting and Planning Manager Salary: Competitive Location: Tabuk JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
At a strategic level, manage the optimum IF&P solution with, as applicable, the Customer, Maintenance team(s), Part 145 organisation(s), Order Book Managers, Procurement, Suppliers and all other key stakeholders, in order to deliver the required standards of Continuing Airworthiness and contract delivery.
Manage the development and delivery of the IF&P capabilities (including IT infrastructure), ensuring alignment to current and future business strategies.
Ensure the direction and objectives of the team align with the overall supply chain service.
Provide leadership and direction to the IF&P team in order to deliver agreed deliverables. Influence on direction also extends to customers, service providers and partnerships.
Management of budgets and associated reporting processes to ensure cost efficiency and governance.
Lead the management of inventory through planning, stock positioning, monitoring item condition and ensuring product availability balancing service against budget.
Lead the ability to minimise expenditure through the exploration of all alternative sources of supply, including RTP, cannibalisation, use of alternative/substitute parts. The ability to determine the most appropriate asset solution (repair, overhaul or provide spare). The ability to provide repair scheduling tasking into repair bay facilities.
In conjunction with key stakeholders, lead and develop the effectiveness of the Supply Chain prediction based on historic consumption and known future events.
Manage the planning of components into maintenance to ensure compliance with the Operator Maintenance Programme, Mandated requirements, applicable technical instructions and capability embodiment programmes.
Lead the ability to define and maintain forecasting parameters to include calculation methods and parts classification (ABC Analysis). The ability to enact purchase order requests with appropriate and affordable supply chain solutions through an approval process.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Minimum HND in a relevant discipline, or suitable equivalent.
Strong quantitative, analytical and project management skills/experience, with Lean management principles.
Effective, highly credible communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Requires broad product knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the relationship with interfacing / contributory areas.
Ability to analyse and interpret data.
Comprehensive understanding of current IT software packages used within the IF&P discipline.
Good understanding of Project Management techniques.
Understanding of the Financial, Commercial and Procurement processes within BAE Systems and the operating Customer.
