Job Summary:
The General Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

The General Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, income, receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize company expenses, ensuring they are accurately recorded and reported.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software and systems to manage financial data effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial regulations.
Skills:
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and recordkeeping.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with team members and management.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
