Job Summary: The CH-47F FE is responsible for monitoring the aircraft systems, diagnosing and eliminating any problems that may arise, and ensuring that all maintenance faults have been recorded and properly corrected in accordance with service guidance. These duties will be performed day and night as well as under VMC and IMC The CH-47F will also perform aircraft maintenance, repairs, modifications, and inspections in accordance with approved methods and practices per specific Technical Manuals, Operator Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Checklist, and any other directives pertinent to the environment. The CH-47F FE will also provide technical direction and training to the Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command when needed. Job Responsibilities:
Performs flight crew work supporting heavy multi-engine aircraft and providing assistance to the pilot in the overall operation of the aircraft.
Conducts APU operations, perform crew duties during a maintenance test flight (MTFs), and maintenance operational checks (MOCs).
Performs CH-47F maintenance tasks and duties as required using Technical Manuals, Operator Manuals, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, Check List Manual, and any other directives pertinent to the environment.
Removes, inspects, troubleshoots and installs aircraft system and subsystem components and subcomponents to include, but not limited to, engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, flight controls, and hydraulics.
Performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities to include PMS, servicing and lubrication, and MOC/MTF support functions.
Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools/test equipment, and Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) and Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE).
Prepares, reviews, and updates aircraft maintenance forms and records.
Uses common measuring tools, measuring gauges, and alignment fixtures.
Provides On-the-Job Training (OJT), coaching, and mentoring to Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command (RSLAC) personnel in all aspects of aircraft maintenance activities.
Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.
Other tasks as directed by the PC Manager and Maintenance Lead.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Eight (8) years' experience as an aircraft mechanic on CH-47F series aircraft
Successfully completed, and be qualified by the appropriate U.S. Government armed forces CH-47 aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent training
Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms or similar aviation maintenance management system, and other aircraft-related documentation
Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner
Possess a valid state or Government issued driver’s license.
Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire
US Citizenship required.
HS diploma required.
Desired Qualifications:
Military FE school trained.
