Job Purpose Leader of the Fabrication Department of LSA to ensure achieving production plan as scheduled with high efficiency, productivity, quality and on time.
Job Context Ensure that all HSE, Quality, Inventory, On Time Delivery and Productivity Requirements are being followed by Assembly Line Team.
Job Dimensions The Job involves regular and close interactions with all functions of the business specially Assembly and SCM. Furthermore, interactions with Internal Sales are often required.
Key Accountabilities These will include:
To meet the daily fabrication target as per daily production planning.
Allocation of workload to blue collars on daily basis as per capacity and daily plan.
Be accountable with daily assembly target.
Be accountable with efficiency measure and be on target, higher than 85% for entire Fabrication area.
Responsible for overall housekeeping being a 6S champion for assembly shop floor.
Ensuring that tools, fixtures that are used are periodically in work condition and open maintenance report when required.
Be a champion to meet ISO quality standards and Safety standards.
Facilitate safe working environment for people and follow the Safety procedure by workstation
Be responsible that all production staff are aware of the site HSE procedures, rules, and initiatives.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, BOM reader and understanding from Teamcenter.
Technical knowledge and abilities to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
Positive attitude for change and continuous improvements initiatives using lean approach.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
More than 5 years’ experience as a leader in Fabrication or Production area, i.e., electrical/mechanical assembly function in a manufacturing company.
Experience in assembly plants in a reputed organization, preferably switchgear industry will be added as advantage.
Technical degree in electrical or mechanical.
Knowledge in ISO standards and Health, Safety standards.
Self-starter and takes initiative for additional responsibilities and challenges.
Knowledge in Manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing Tools as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Gemba.
Analytical and Planning skills to lead manufacturing plant with more than 50 blue collar employees.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Understanding the impact of poor quality and poor health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
