We are currently seeking for an Engineering Geologist for a prestigious hospitality project located in Al Ula.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Oversee the design of geotechnical, geophysical, and geo-environmental site investigations, providing recommendations on the most appropriate intrusive techniques and specifying in-situ and laboratory testing requirements.
• Lead the procurement process for site investigation contractors, ensuring the selection of the best candidates for project needs.
• Supervise site investigation contractors, utilizing extensive experience in managing site investigations and conducting soil and rock logging.
• Manage terrain evaluation, geohazard identification, and field mapping of rock slopes/outcrops, including performing kinematic analyses for Plane-Wedge-Toppling failure mechanisms in rock slopes.
• Provide expert guidance on the construction and stabilization of rock slopes, tunnels, caverns, and shafts, including methods like rock bolting, shotcreting, and rock anchoring.
• Supervise underground construction projects in challenging ground and groundwater conditions, providing strategies for controlling groundwater, managing ground settlement, and mitigating volume loss.
• Oversee the design and construction of temporary and enabling works for tunnels, caverns, and shafts, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Provide expert guidance on monitoring settlement and vibrations associated with soil and rock excavations, ensuring project safety and structural integrity.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers in a relevant category.
• Proven experience in construction site supervision with a focus on excavation works.
