Your key duties Buro Happold is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Engagement Manager with expertise in Advisory to join our esteemed team. As an Engagement Manager - Advisory, you will play a critical role in managing client relationships, leading engagements, and driving operational excellence. Your deep understanding of strategic frameworks, operational models, and business processes will enable you to deliver exceptional results and contribute to the growth and success of Buro Happold. Responsibilities:
Manage client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic engagements in Advisory.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their strategic objectives, operational challenges, and business needs.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' business processes, operational efficiencies, and organisational structures, identifying areas for improvement and formulating tailored recommendations.
Develop and execute strategic plans, operational frameworks, and performance improvement initiatives that align with clients' business goals and industry best practices.
Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective project management, timely delivery, and high-quality outcomes.
Provide expert advice to clients on improvements, leveraging your in-depth knowledge and experience in the field.
Conduct financial analysis, cost modelling, and performance benchmarking to support clients in optimising their operations and achieving cost efficiencies.
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to drive alignment, consensus, and decision-making with stakeholders.
Foster strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor, understanding their needs, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices and share insights with colleagues and clients.
Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and networking events.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and enhance strategic advisory capabilities, methodologies, and tools within the organisation.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related discipline.
Experience working for an advisory firm or consultancy, with a focus on Engineering related projects.
Proven track record in managing client relationships, leading engagements, and delivering strategic projects.
Deep knowledge of strategic frameworks, operational models, and performance improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex challenges and formulate innovative solutions.
Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage client engagements.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Client-focused mindset, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
