About the role

We’re looking for a React Native Tech Lead with 7+ years of experience, of which 5 years are as a React Native developer, who is comfortable leading and teaching others. This job is about being a consultant providing your expertise to end customers. It is highly intensive in the amount of learning curve, as you will constantly learn new technologies. Since this job is all about learning and providing services, different levels of experience are accepted as long as the engineer is planning to work with us for the long run.
Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Design, architect, and lead the implementation of complex React Native applications.
• Make crucial technical and architectural decisions that will shape the future of our projects.
• Lead technical discussions, driving your team to find optimal solutions to challenges.

Mentorship & Teaching:

• Act as a mentor and coach to junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Conduct regular code reviews, pair programming sessions, and provide constructive feedback.

• Lead workshops, training sessions, and presentations on React Native best practices, new technologies, and design patterns.

Knowledge Sharing:

• Be an advocate for best practices, ensuring the team is adhering to industry standards in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Document and share technical knowledge with the team, contributing to internal knowledge bases and project documentation.
• Engage with the broader developer community through blogs, meetups, or open-source contributions.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables by employing strategies like Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).
• Apply and enforce the Boy Scout Rule: always leave the codebase better than you found it.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

• Communicate effectively with clients, presenting technical solutions and shaping product features based on their needs.
• Be proactive in providing updates and ensuring clear, precise communication with all stakeholders.

Team & Project Management:

• Lead by example in following agile methodologies, ensuring the team delivers high-quality code in a timely manner.
• Be involved in the hiring and onboarding process for new team members, ensuring a high-caliber team.
• Act as a key player in cross-functional teams, working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.

Qualifications:

• Experience of minimum of 7 years in mobile development, with at least 5 years in React Native and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Proven experience in leading teams, mentoring developers, and making critical architectural decisions.
• In-depth knowledge of React Native, Redux, Type Script, and experience with native i OS/Android development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A deep commitment to knowledge sharing, teaching, and continuous improvement within the team.
