In this role you will prepare technical proposals by offering an engineered solution for customers applications, technically review process and manage customer orders. Working as part of the Inside Sales team, in conjunction with Field Sales, this role will be responsible for communicating with customers directly to prequalify enquiries, to ensure the customer receives the solution that fits their needs, then follow the quotation up, sometimes in co-operation with Field Sales and clarify any queries.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Responding to technical sales enquiries from customers, qualifying all enquiries to ensure proposals demonstrate Emerson’s full product and capabilities portfolio, increasing all bookings opportunities and quote to order ratio, including quote follow up.
- Ensuring all proposals meet the customers’ application and operational needs, are technically engineered, accurate and commercially verified, offering the best solutions that highlight customer business benefits
- Collaborating closely with the colleagues from Field Sales and Account Management to prioritize effort, gather competitive intelligence, agreeing product direction and pricing strategy to improve customer service consistent with account plans that contribute to their ongoing development
- Using standardized European and Business Unit gold standard processes, ensure the timely entering of orders into the sales order processing system verifying that all data is checked and accurate
- Enhance opportunities for expanding scope within our business and all other Emerson business units, wherever possible
- Working with Field Sales to report on quotation and project potential utilizing Oracle Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Technically cleaning & loading customer orders into business system, manage dates, ITC and commercial terms

For This Role, You Will Need:
- University background in an engineering field or relevant experience within the industry
- Proficiency in English language (verbal and written)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Work and Power Point)
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience of operating within the Process Control Industry is advantageous
- Background and experience in Inside Sales and/or Customer Service equivalent roles
- Experience of using product and business systems and standard business reporting tools, for example Oracle or CRM systems
- Awareness of LEAN principles
- Knowledge of Emerson Pressure and Relief Valve products and portfolio
- Knowledge in SAP
