Job Description
The finance team is crucial for maintaining financial health and stability. This team comprises accounts payable, tax and treasury, payroll, and investor relations. Together, they manage financial planning, transactions, compliance, and investor communications, ensuring the organization operates efficiently and meets its strategic goals.
As a Group Reporting Accountant at Endava, you will be resposible by providing timely, effective and accurate support to the Group Reporting team in participating to the Group month end close process. You will oversee intercompany reconciliation at group level and fixed assets reporting, perform reconciliations and get involved in accruals computation and posting, while ensuring compliance with accounting policies. This requires a good understanding of the accounting standards, high level of accuracy and atention to details, alongside strong organizational and communication skills. However, it will offer you the chance to develop advanced analytical abilities and strategic financial insights. Intercompany reconciliation
Perform the monthly reconciliation and elimination at group level
Work with the Senior GRA, Intercompany accountant and AP and AR teams to make sure all the intercompany transactions are processed correctly
Process the intercompany loan interest calculation prepared and reviewed by the treasury team on a monthly basis
Summarize the intercompany dividends transactions on a quarterly basis.
Offer support to the GL team in accounting for more complex transactions ( intercompany dividends, net off agreements, etc)
Prepare documentation in line with SOx compliance requirements
Accruals accounting
Get involved in computation, posting and reconciliation of Group accruals on a monthly basis
Group Fixed Assets reporting:
Collect fixed asset registers and details of additions and disposals from all the subsidiaries and prepare the Group Fixed Assets note on a monthly basis
Ensure the Group Fixed Assets policy is applied consistently across the Group
Get involved in reviewing fixed asset related information from newly merged companies
Calculate and account for amortisation of Group level intangible assets
Prepare documentation in line with SOx compliance requirements
Accounting and Reporting Support for the wider Group Reporting Team
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and provide input to the Local Finance Managers
Support with the monthly, quarterly, and yearly Group reporting process – preparation of financial information for various stakeholders, both internal and external
Supporting with SOx compliance requests
Support the Group Audit process and interact with auditors
Accounting knowledge:
Good understanding of the following concepts: prepayments vs payments, actual expense vs accrual, fixed assets costs and depreciation
Qualifications Experience and Qualifications:
3+years of General Ledger experience or good understanding of accounting concepts
Relevant experience in working with databases manually built in excel
Opportunity to sign up for an international accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent)
Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Oracle Fusion (General Ledger module is ideal but not essential)
High quality written and verbal communication skills (English is a must)
High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to perform reconciliations
