We’re looking for an experienced Golang Developer to join our client, to work on the development of their software suite. The client is a leading global financial technology company with a mission to level the playing field for small businesses. Founded in 2012, they are the financial partner of over 4 million small merchants in over 35 markets worldwide, helping them to start, run and grow their businesses.
You will be part of the EU CRM and Lifecycle team, which is responsible for managing CRM and lifecycle initiatives across all European markets. You will be responsible for a backend solution to extend the referral and affiliate programmes across multiple platforms and products.
You'll play a key role in driving the growth of their merchant base through innovative programmes and collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams.

Job requirements
- At least 4 years software engineering experience;
- Proficient in Golang;
- Previous experience with Git;
- Experience of developing distributed, highly available, resilient and fault-tolerant systems;
- Strong commitment to clean, maintainable and testable code;
- Fundamental knowledge of system architecture, design principles, data models and API design (RESTful and g RPC services);
- Experience working with AWS features;
- Autonomy, as you will be the only backend engineer on the team;
- Third party integration experience;
- Degree ideally in Computer Science or related field;

Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities
- Independently design, implement and deploy a third-party integration;
- Collaborate with the Marketing team and contribute to product discussions to boost the Refer a Friend programme's value to the business;
- Assure comprehensive documentation, thorough test coverage, and improve code quality;
- Support the integration of existing referral and affiliate platforms with potential partner solutions;
- Maintain current platforms and continuously work with engineering teams to resolve operational issues;

Plan future roadmaps for the development of the existing referral and affiliate tools' capabilities.
Extra skills
- Experience with referral and affiliate marketing;
- Previous experience in fintech or similar technology industry;
