What you'll be doing
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Databricks and Py Spark
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability for analytics and business intelligence purposes
- ETL Processes: Implement robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load large datasets from diverse sources
- Data Modeling: Work closely with data architects to design and implement data models that support business requirements
- Performance Optimization: Optimize and tune data processes and queries for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights
- Documentation: Document processes, data flows, and system architecture to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability
What you'll bring along
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience on a similar Data Engineer role is required, with a strong focus on Databricks and Py Spark
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Python, SQL, and Spark, with a deep understanding of distributed computing principles
- Data Management: Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling
- Tools and Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Delta Lake, and version control systems like Git
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data requirements and deliver solutions
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in Databricks, Spark, or cloud platforms
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in the [specific industry/domain] is a plus
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile development practices and tools
