The Stockkeeper will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. The role requires proficiency with basic computer software and the ability to operate a computer for inventory management and record-keeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods; ensure accurate inventory levels and manage stock to avoid overstock or shortages.
Process and prepare orders for distribution, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery.
Maintain accurate inventory records using computer software; conduct regular audits to verify stock levels.
Keep the store and storage areas clean, organized, and secure; implement effective inventory management systems.
Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to shipments, product quality, or returns.
Provide support and information to internal teams or external partners as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in inventory management or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role preferred.
Proficiency in basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to operate a computer for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Physical ability to lift and move items as needed.
