HEALTHCARE
Primary purpose of job
- To provide Health Promotion services to all patients visiting Qatar Energy Healthcare Clinics/facilities.
To assess Health Promotion needs, plan and manage packages of care using autonomous Nurse Specialist skills.
To support Medical Officer (Public Health) with the development and implementation of Health Promotion initiatives for
Qatar Energy employees, according to Qatar Energy procedures and guidelines. Experience & Skills
- Eligible for Qatar license to practice nursing (essential). All registration and/or licenses, certifications need to remain
current & active while under Qatar Energy Employment (essential).
Nurse Specialist qualification on Diploma level in Chronic Disease Management nursing or documented evidence of
relevant continuous professional development to enable autonomous clinical practice (essential).
Intermediate Life Support (ILS) (essential).
Minimum 8 years post registration nursing experience, of which at least 3 years in a Senior Nurse role in Chronic Disease
Management (essential).
Ability to motivate and organize others to ensure best practice.
Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in Health Promotion and Clinical Governance.
Working knowledge of IT systems such as Microsoft Word (essential).
Proficient in English written and verbal (essential). Written Arabic & verbal (preferred).
Professional interpersonal and communication skills (essential).
Accountable for maintaining professional competency by seeking to continuously learn and develop scope of
evidence-based practice.
H2S essential if working in Industrial Cities or Offshore.
Could be required to work in all Qatar Energy Healthcare locations. Valid Qatari Drivers’ License (preferred).
Works within own scope of competence and professional codes of conduct, including always maintaining patient
