Mechanical Supervisor
DRAWLINES ENGINEERING CONSULT is looking for MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR (LOCAL) in Doha, Qatar
Years of experience: 6-7 Years
Project Site Location: Ras Laffan

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR4,600.00 per month

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Higher Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline
- Vocational training and a minimum of 7 years’ experience across similar projects
- Minimum of 5 years as a Foreman/ Team leader or similar role
- Proven leadership skills.
- Well-developed communication, co-ordination and operational planning skills.
- Good knowledge of spoken English and ability to generate professional written reports in English.
- Well-developed technical knowledge and understanding of execution methodology.
- Ability to produce detailed workshop sketches.
- Physically healthy and capable to work in site.
- Supervise and monitor activities of skilled and unskilled technicians, ensuring that progress is on schedule and work is carried out to required specifications and HSE standards
- Interpret drawings to establish work assignment requirements and provide guidance during construction execution.
- Receive and review assignments for short to medium-term work programs from relevant Manager and ensure timely completion of requirements.
- Assess manpower and material requirements, based on production norms, and prioritize tasks to ensure that recourse are deployed for maximum effectiveness.
- Provide technical advice and training for solving the more complex problems referred by Foreman
- Prepare regular reports on work progress and forecasting for analysis by Level 1 or equivalent.
- Provide input for the development and enhancement of project Method Statements.
- Prepare consolidated reports on work progress for further review by Level 1 or equivalent
- Undertake appraisals to assess staff performance in the execution of assigned duties
