To overlook fixing the items of furniture for customers after the purchase or billing is done. Assemble and install furniture at customer premises or for customers at the time of purchase. Basic Tasks: 1. Responsible for loading and unloading furniture to delivery vans. 2. Responsible for installation and delivery of all types of furniture the customer buys. 3. Responsible for assisting in the dispatch of office furniture. 4. Assisting with minor repairs to furniture. 5. Assembling of furniture as per manufacturer’s/ manual instructions. 6. Completion and checking of all paperwork as per company policies and procedures. 7. Manually lift and handle goods safely by operating handling equipment to specification as per company policies and procedures. 8. Maintaining and handling equipment’s and tools as per company policies and procedures. 9. Prepare work areas for loading and unloading of goods where required. 10.Ensure that all work processed is in accordance with Quality Assurance policies and procedures followed by the company. 11. Ensure all jobs are processed in a safe manner and immediately report any safety issues to the Manager/ Supervisor. 12. Should there be any problem at an installation, this MUST be reported to the Manager/Supervisor or Purchaser of order IMMEDIATELY upon discovery. 13. Ensure work area(s) is/are kept tidy and the floor areas are kept free of hazards, e.g. boxes and paper. 14. Any other ad-hoc duties as required within the floor such as displaying, merchandizing, packing, repairs, etc. 15. Monitoring of all fitting staffs in effective groups. Skills A positive and helpful attitude is required in handling all delivery duties with internal and external customers. Excellent communication skills. Good knowledge of local and surrounding areas. Ability to prioritize the work to all the fitters. The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. Flexible approach to all customers.
