The Goods Checker main responsibility is to ensure the prompt delivery of goods and to check incoming packages for completeness and damage. A secondary responsibility is to prepare the reports regarding the delivery. This requires extensive knowledge of proper checking and procedures. To check goods received against delivery notes and to input the Delivery Notes onto the Company system, complying with Company Procedures Basic Tasks: 1. To check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages 2. To enter the Delivery Notes onto the Company system promptly and accurately, matching the correct Purchase Order Number 3. Checking cartoon wise as well as item wise and grouping them according to product wise. 4. Notify the relevant Department via the Delivery Note of any shortage in delivery/miss-picks. 5. Notify relevant Department of any damaged goods received and place in the Quarantine section, awaiting further instruction 6. Goods in stock have to be well monitored and checked regularly upon receiving and before the sending to the showroom. 7. Reporting of all damages and making goods returns report if required or damage report for insurance claims. 8. Should maintain all original invoices from local suppliers along with the local purchase order. 9. Assist when required with the physical movement of stock from the Goods In area to the warehouse and/or packing and putting away stock 10.
