Your day-to-day:
Support Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in the daily operation and work in the Bakery
Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie
Keep the work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules
Control food stock and food cost in your section
Prepare the daily mise-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites
Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks
Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques
Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control
Prepare and display buffet food items according to the hotel standard
Perform tasks promptly
Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross-contamination
Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
What we need from you:
2-3 years of previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef in a Bakery
Proficient with local rules and regulations involving, Health & Safety & HACCP.
Positive attitude
Good communication skills
Proven ability to work with a team and to follow instruction
A passion for learning and a drive to succeed in a culinary/hospitality career
Experience multi-tasking and working in an environment with rigorous standards
