Job Purpose Responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of dishes in the tandoor section of the kitchen. Requires a basic understanding of tandoor cooking techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of tandoor items, including marination, seasoning, and grilling of meats, vegetables, and bread (naan, roti, etc.).
Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked according to the restaurant's quality standards and recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the tandoor section, including proper cleaning of the tandoor oven.
Follow all health and safety regulations in food handling and kitchen operations.
Assist with inventory checks and restocking of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
Work in collaboration with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service.
Follow instructions from the Chef De Partie or Sous Chef for daily kitchen operations and menu updates.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a tandoor section or similar kitchen role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques, including marination and grilling.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Strong team player with good communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
