Principal Cloud Development Engineer, Platform Deployments & Data Services
Meet Our Team:
The number of our Pega Cloud Saa S and Paa S customers is rapidly growing. We are looking for individuals who will help us to drive this growth by building highly scalable cutting-edge Cloud Services. The Cloud Engineering Platform Deployments & Data Services team designs and develops the highly available processes associated with the provisioning, configuration, installation, maintenance, upgrade, and deployment of the Pega Platform and its strategic and industry applications. Working in a collaborative environment, your familiarity of Kubernetes, Docker, RDBMS, Application Servers, coupled with excellent Java skills will help drive the future of our Pega Cloud solutions. As part of this team, you will be working to support Pega Infinity running on Pega Cloud, providing the underlying functionality leveraged by our Pega Cloud Operations team helping them to ensure our clients receive data access requests, configurations changes, software maintenance and updates in a standardized and consistent manner using the latest Cloud technologies all without downtime.

Our Pega Cloud team is distributed globally with three major technology centers in the US, in the EU and in India.
What You'll Do at Pega:
- Developing tooling supporting orchestration for thousands of Cloud environments,
- Working daily with Go, Java, AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Docker,
- Work within Scrum, Dev Ops and MVP frameworks,
- Mentor less experienced engineers.
Who You Are:
You are an effective communicator and collaborator. Also, you demonstrate initiative and autonomy at work. You have a high level of technical aptitude with a genuine eagerness to learn, explore and enhance Pega technology using your expertise in cloud technologies and object-oriented development. You are passionate about learning new technologies and enjoy working in an agile environment that values collaboration and teamwork. You possess strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a robust environment that imposes new challenges frequently. You have sufficient experience to guide junior colleagues in terms of their work assignments.
What You've Accomplished:
- Bachelor/Master’s Computer Science degree with at least 6 years of professional experience,
- Ability to design a microservices-based architecture leveraging Cloud-native design patterns and serverless frameworks, with emphasis on scalability and high availability.
- Experience with Golang, Java, or Pega apps development.
- Understanding and experience in Cloud technologies and providers.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as a Code (Helm/Terraform)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker containers.
- Relational database experience.
- Experience with testing frameworks and automation pipelines.
