Job Summary: The Waiter/Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by delivering food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner. They ensure that all guests have a pleasant dining experience by maintaining a high standard of service, hospitality, and cleanliness. Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
Present menus and provide detailed information on menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and friendly manner.
Ensure tables are set up properly, clean, and ready for service.
Monitor guests’ needs, anticipate requests, and respond to them promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
Handle guest complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary.
Clear and clean tables after guests have finished dining.
Process guest payments and provide accurate change or receipts.
Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, pantry, and service stations.
Collaborate with kitchen and other hotel staff to ensure efficient and smooth service.
Upsell additional products when appropriate (e.g., wine pairings, dessert options).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational courses in Hospitality Management are a plus.
Previous experience as a waiter/server in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and guest relations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
