Plans the day-to-day operations of the assigned store / department, section or category.
Plans and executes effective and efficient selling operations to achieve sales and profitability targets.
Maintains and monitors display arrangements, pricing system, stock inventory, and sales information.
Plans and executes the highest standard customer service best practices in the selling area.
Generates sales leads, recommends and executes sales plan to capture retail or wholesale markets.
Projects and coordinates quantity and timing for delivery.
2. Sales and Operations Management
Monitors and executes the day-to-day execution of the store / department, section or category sales plan and strategies.
Ensures effective and efficient selling operations to achieve store sales and profitability targets.
Maintains and monitors display arrangements, pricing system, stock inventory, and sales information.
Works with selling personnel / Store Head to implement and execute agreed sales and business initiatives.
Ensures optimum space productivity (good layout / customer flow) and profitability in the selling area.
Monitors the sales and profitability progress of the department.
Conducts sales calls to potential wholesale clients.
3. Analysis / Problem Solving
Reviews and analyzes sales data, and recommends possible solutions or alternatives for improvement.
Solicits customer feedback, suggestions and complaints; ensures customer concerns are given immediate attention, and that critical complaints are forwarded to the Area Head / Store Head for appropriate solution.
4. Coordination/Communication
Works closely with Marketing Department for sales support and implementation of promotion programs.
Coordinates with Merchandising Department for display improvement and highlights of new stocks and maintenance of focal display areas.
Submits reports regularly to Store Head in terms of issues and concern in the operations.
Monitors salability of merchandise and provides feedback to merchandising and store head as basis for purchase planning.
Maintains constant communication and coordination with the Store Head.
Establishes good rapport with the community and store clients.
5. Auditing/Controlling
Ensures compliance to basic merchandising guidelines, and supplier agreed initiatives.
Ensures correct price tags, good quality of merchandise, and adequate stocks.
Maintains department records and prepares items for sale or promotion.
Implements control systems in monitoring sales, pilferages, etc.
6. Technical Expertise
Conducts Market Surveys (MS) regularly to maintain or ensure a competitive edge over the other stores in terms of merchandise or prices.
7. Administration and Management
Oversees, orients, and trains outsourced selling personnel and other retail operations staff (sales talk).
Monitors the presence (attendance) and activities of outsourced personnel and provides feedbacks as to their performance to ensure attainment of sales quota and customer service levels.
Conducts regular meeting with selling personnel to disseminate important information and to address operations related concerns.
Monitors and implements grooming standards.
Implements store operations related policies, systems and procedures.
Ensures compliance to Quality Audit Parameters / Store Visitation Checklist.
Ensures maintenance, housekeeping and security of the assigned area.
Supervises and checks display arrangement of selling area covered.
Adopts people management practices that emphasize empowerment, quality, productivity and goal attainment.
8. Clerical/Documentation
Maintains and ensures updated store records and documents.
Maintains and updates standard store checklists
