Drive the overall vision and strategy for safety and health for the entire organization.
Collaborate with top-tier management or board members on integrating safety principles into the core values and business strategies of the company.
Lead the development and revision of organizational-wide safety policies, procedures, and standards.
Ensure that these policies not only comply with local regulations but also align with international best practices.
Regularly report to executive management or the board on safety performance, risks, and strategies.
Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization on matters related to safety and health.
Lead organization-wide risk assessments, hazard identifications, and develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.
Engage with high-level external stakeholders, including regulators, industry groups, and partners, to advocate for safety and represent the organization’s interests.
Ensure smooth relations with regulatory bodies and facilitate and necessary compliance audits or inspections.
Safety Culture Championing. Drive initiatives to entrench a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.
Engage with employees, management, and other stakeholders to instill safety values and behaviors.
Emergency and Crisis Leadership. Oversee the organization’s crisis management and emergency response strategies, ensuring swift and effective to critical situations.
Qualifications
Graduate of 4-year course in Psychology or any Business-related course.
Minimum of five (5) years in managerial capacity, with at least ten (10) years in safety related positions.
Certified Safety Officer 3 or 4
Excellent communications, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas.
Strong leadership skills to guide Safety Team and support and motivate staff.
