Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning units.
- Monitor and adjust system controls to meet specific cooling requirements.
- Install new components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and motors, as needed.
- Inspect, test, and adjust system components to ensure proper operation.
- Handle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., proper recovery, recycling, and disposal).
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
- Maintain tools and equipment and ensure proper use and handling.
- Provide detailed reports on repairs, maintenance, and installations.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all work complies with industry standards and local regulations.
- Proven experience as a refrigeration and air conditioning technician, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems.
- Certification or diploma in refrigeration and air conditioning technology or a related field.
- Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, principles, and HVAC system components.
- Ability to diagnose and repair system malfunctions using testing equipment and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (up to [insert weight]), work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require standing or kneeling for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license
