The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and heavy machinery. This role involves traveling to job sites to inspect, service, and repair equipment, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. 1. Inspection and Maintenance 2. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment such as trucks, transit mixers, pay loaders, and pumpcretes. 3. Use computerized testing equipment to diagnose faults accurately. 4. Clean, lubricate, and perform regular maintenance services on heavy-duty vehicles.Repair and Adjustment 5. Drive to job sites to address and troubleshoot any issues with heavy equipment units. 6. Adjust equipment settings and replace faulty parts as needed. 7. Repair or replace damaged parts to restore equipment functionality. 8. Major Repairs 9. Perform significant repair work when necessary to ensure the continued operation of heavy machinery. 10. Record Keeping and Reporting 11.
