Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and honest Finance and Accounting Generalist to join our finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations. Key Responsibilities Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting process by providing relevant financial data and assisting in variance analysis. Transaction Processing: Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Collaboration: Work closely with store management to support financial operations and assist in inventory management and cost control measures. Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and provide solutions to improve accounting processes. Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures to maintain the integrity of financial data. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Honest and trustworthy with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
