Overview:
The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for the review of errors within the Construction of houses, especially those which are caused from Internal operational errors. Root cause analysis of the errors (ETS’s – Extra to Schedule) is needed as well as strategically managing projects that will eliminate the root causes.
Weekly and monthly meetings, presentations and reporting will be required to show the business how these errors are being fundamentally fixed in a systematic and ongoing process.
The role will be focused on collection of data, data analysis, reporting as well as key stakeholder engagement to ensure fixes and introduced and adapted.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze data of errors (ETS’s) to identify issues and root causes that are affecting margins within the business.
• Utilise tools and methodologies to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights to determine the symptoms and root cause of the issues that lead to the ETS.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand the broader context of issues impacting margin.
• Develop and suggest methods to eliminate or mitigate both the root causes and symptoms of identified issues.
• Value engineer solutions to ensure the improvement or maintenance of finalized margin.
• Monitor the implementation of proposed solutions, ensuring adherence to established strategies.
• Conduct regular assessments to verify the effectiveness of implemented measures in resolving ETS-related concerns.
• The Continuous Improvement Specialist is also required to undertake any other duties, projects or tasks as directed by the manager which are within the employee’s skills and competency level.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience in a Continuous Improvement role within Construction or Manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of the Building Code of Australia is a plus.
• Knowledge of Business Craft, Companion systems and Power BI.
• Exceptional computer skills with advanced data analytics.
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Previous experience within Residential Home building sector.
• Qualifications within Finance, Business, Building and Construction, Six Sigma, Project Management.
• Can Communicate effectively.
• Can work office based.
