Position is responsible for the over-all performance of the branch. Oversees the general profitability and production of the branch and ensures that operations are at optimum levels and the branch's resources are maximized to achieve the goals and objectives of the branch; identifies and pursues new business opportunities for the branch. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Manages the over-all operation of the whole branch. 2. Approves the description, terms and conditions for policy issuance and ensures adherence to company policies and standards. 3. Reviews collections and follows-up on outstanding accounts. 4. Approves claims payment within approved authority limit. 5. Manages the over-all activities of the Agency Development Officer/Asst. Branch Manager and the recruitment and development of potential agents. 6. Recruits prospective agents, conduct a quality training of agents, including the awareness of underwriting rules and regulations. Evaluates the progress of said programs in relation to the achievement of the branch's goals and objectives. 7. Manages the conduct of the inspection of risks, evaluates the risks and approves the acceptance of risks by the branch in relation to ensuring the overall profitability of the branch and adherence to company policies and standards. 8. Manages the development and training of branch staff for the purpose of developing the necessary competencies to achieve its goals and objectives. 9. Identifies and pursues new business opportunities for the branch. Minimum Qualification 1. Graduate of a 4-year college course or a bachelor's degree. 2. Must have good managerial, communication and negotiation skills. 3. With proven track record in Business Development 4.
