Job Title: Banquet Coordinator Location: Misibis Bay Resort Satellite Office or Misibis Bay Resort Reports to: Socials and Banquet Manager / Sales & Marketing Manager The Banquet Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all banquet events at Misibis Bay. This role ensures that all events are conducted smoothly, meeting the clients' expectations and resort standards. The Banquet Coordinator will work closely with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure that every detail of the event is managed effectively. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or any related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event coordination, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
Proven experience in managing large-scale events and banquets.
Responsibilities: 1. Event Coordination:
Manage all aspects of banquet events from initial planning to execution.
Liase with clients to understand their event requirements, including menu selection, room set-up, and scheduling.
Coordinate with the Food and Beverage department, housekeeping, and other operational teams to ensure seamless event execution.
2. On-the-Day Management:
Oversee event logistics on the day of the event, ensuring that everything runs according to plan.
Handle any issues that arise during the event, providing immediate solutions to maintain client satisfaction.
Conduct pre-event briefings with staff to ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
3. Client Relationship Management:
Maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
Provide post-event evaluations to gather client feedback and implement improvements for future events.
4. Budget Management:
Work within the allocated budget to manage events resources efficiently.
Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best possible rates without compromising on quality.
5. Compliance & Safety:
Ensure that all events comply with government regulations and resort policies.
Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring that safety standards are met.
