An Accounting Manager is a professional who makes sure that financial reports are up-to-date and compliant with the set standards. Responsibilities
Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including, but is not limited to :
o month and end-year process o accounts payable/receivable o cash receipts o general ledger o payroll and utilities o treasury, budgeting o cash forecasting o revenue and expenditure variance analysis o capital assets reconciliations o trust account statement reconciliations, o check runs o fixed asset activity o debt activity
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
Provides accurate and timely preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring proper maintenance of accounting records
Maintains proper General ledger system
Reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Validates expenditures of the company
Ensures compliance with local and government requirements.
Qualifications
(CPA) Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
3-5 years of related managerial experience is required.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
