We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager Accounts to oversee our financial operations at our Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi office. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Job Description: As the Manager Accounts, you will be responsible for the overall management of our accounting department. You will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and oversee the preparation of financial statements. This role requires a strategic thinker who can improve processes, ensure compliance, and support the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support.
· Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
· Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
· Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
· Coordinate and oversee audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
· Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making.
· Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions as needed.
· Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
· Continuously assess and improve accounting processes to optimize performance.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CMA) is highly preferred.
· Proven experience as a Manager Accounts or in a similar senior accounting role.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
· Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Quick Books Online being a plus.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
· High level of integrity and professionalism.
· Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
