Job Description: Operations Management
Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of all departments.
Collaborate with the finance team to create and manage budgets; monitor operational costs and suggest ways to reduce expenditures without compromising quality.
Oversee logistics and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery of books.
Establish quality control standards and ensure that all published works meet the company's quality criteria.
Work closely with other departments to align operational practices with business objectives.
People Management (Human Resources):
Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent; develop job descriptions, conduct interviews, and make hiring decisions in collaboration with department heads.
Design and implement training and professional development programs to upskill employees and align their growth with organizational goals.
Establish performance management systems that promote accountability and recognize top performers; conduct regular performance reviews.
Foster an inclusive and positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork, creativity, and high performance.
Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution; promote open communication between management and staff.
Ensure the company adheres to labor laws and HR best practices; maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience (3+ years) in operations management, preferably in the publishing industry or a related field.
Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices, including talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations.
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
