PAINT PRODUCTION OFFICER
COGENT PAINTS is seeking a smart, vibrant, and efficient paint production officer.
As a Paint Production Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficient and safe operations in the paint manufacturing process.
This role requires coordination with various departments, adherence to quality standards, and efficient resource management to meet production targets. Responsibilities include overseeing production, maintaining safety standards, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Onsite: Cogent Paints, Abijo Casia Estate, Opposite Corona School before Awoyaya, Ajah, Lagos
*Salary: 100, 000 Naira
*Accommodation available for Monday-Friday
*Probation: 3 months

Pay: ₦100,000.00 per month

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day production operations.
- Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as necessary to meet targets.
- Ensure attainment of monthly production volumes as per the established plan.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Maintain production equipment and troubleshoot any issues to avoid downtime.
- Optimize the use of raw materials, minimizing waste.
- Generate production reports, analyzing efficiency and productivity metrics.
- Assist in the implementation of new production processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
- Train and supervise production staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety protocols.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role, preferably within the paint manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, process improvement, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance standards, and quality assurance.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and targets.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
- Proactive with keen attention to detail, adept at thriving in dynamic production environments.
