Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day logistics operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Ensure that shipments are prepared, loaded, and delivered in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Assign tasks and schedules to ensure smooth flow of logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee the onboarding of individual and corporate agents for delivery.
- Work with customers to address delivery queries, delays, or other logistics-related issues.
- Monitor performance and provide feedback to staff, conducting regular training and development sessions.
- Ensure that inventory is properly received, managed, and tracked using relevant software.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure all logistics operations adhere to company safety standards and government regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks and audits, ensuring proper handling and transportation of goods.
- Address and resolve any compliance issues or concerns related to transportation and storage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations, safety procedures, and customs documentation.
- Experience in working fast-paced start-up company will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel
