Job Description
Our client in the Hospitality industry is looking to hire a Guest Services Manager who will be responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating activities of the of the serviced residence property.
He/she is responsible for managing & training the team of Guest Service and making sure that the Guest Service offers a warm welcome, speedy and efficient check in and check out.
Responsibilities
Ensures that all guests are attended to at the Guest Service with warm welcome.
Ensures that cash advance or cash received upon check out are handled properly by Guest Service Supervisor/Officer.
Deals with complaints from customers and ensures that customers are appeased.
Reviews activities in the Operations Department and devise strategies to make improvements within the department to enhance efficiency.
Management of Main master key control.
Works within the allocated budget for the Guest Service Dept.
Performs simple bookkeeping activities, such as balancing cash accounts when needed.
Performs any other duties as required by the Guest Service or Management.
Pays special attention to important guests and makes sure that they are satisfied with all aspects of stay in the Serviced Apartment.
Monitors record of room availability and guests' accounts using computers.
Conduct regularly scheduled meetings of Guest Service staff.
Maintain working relationship and communicating with all departments.
Train, cross- trains and re-trains all front office staff.
Evaluates the job performance of each Guest Service Employee.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Diploma and at least 5 years of work experience in the Front Office/ Guest Service Department in a managerial capacity in the hospitality industry.
Proven experience as a Guest Services Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
Knowledge of guest services best practices and current industry trends.
Must have skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
