RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify, build and retain financial and strategic (in-kind contributions, technical assistance etc) relationships with donors and key targeted partners. Develop an advocacy strategy which should include the development and dissemination of evidence-based advocacy tools and research papers and policy briefs aimed at raising awareness of the importance of the public sector and health sector improvement. Create and implement communication plans and campaigns for brand building, media relations, special events, fundraising, volunteer mobilization, crisis communications and increase public engagement through promotion of the Foundation’s activities/events. Develop and implement an integrated communications plan that will raise the profile and credibility of the Foundation and strengthen the Foundation’s brand identity across key stakeholder audiences. Recruit and manage a Communications and Advocacy team, to support the development and execution of the Communications and Advocacy strategies; promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality. Proactive in planning, managing risks, identifying and addressing wider opportunities and threats, and using data to inform decisions and improve. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a post-graduate degree in Management Science, Public Relations, Communication, Public Policy, International Relations, Development Studies, Nonprofit Management or other related fields. Additional certification in areas such as strategic communication, fundraising, advocacy or nonprofit leadership is an added advantage. Minimum of 10 – 15 years relevant professional experience.
