Civil & Structural Engineer - Telecommunications Infrastructure
- Job Title: Civil Engineer
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities:
- Site Assessment: Conduct thorough site surveys and assessments to determine the feasibility of telecommunication site construction. Evaluate terrain conditions and environmental factors that may impact the project.
- Design and Planning: Collaborate with the engineering team to develop detailed civil engineering plans and blueprints for telecommunication site construction, encompassing access roads, foundations, tower pads, and utilities.
- Permitting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulatory authorities and obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities. Maintain accurate documentation of permits throughout the project lifecycle.
- Material and Resource Management: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure required construction materials and equipment. Efficiently manage resources to optimize project timelines and budget.
- Quality Control: Oversee the construction process to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Project Management: Monitor project progress and milestones, communicating updates to the project team and stakeholders. Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Health and Safety: Promote a safety-first culture on the construction site, implementing safety guidelines and conducting regular safety briefings. Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols.
- Bachelor's degree/HND in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience in civil engineering, preferably in telecommunications site build construction or related infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Auto CAD, 2D & 3D drawing and interpretation.
- Sound knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
- In-depth Structural experience
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling unforeseen challenges in the construction process.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of construction work.
- Coren Certified.
Pay: ₦300,000.00 - ₦400,000.00 per month
Experience:
- civil engineering: 4 years (Preferred)
