Job Title: Chef (Full-time) We’re looking for an innovative and talented Chef with great management skills to lead our Restaurant team! You don't need to have worked or trained as a Chef in the past. If you're a food lover, who can prepare tasty traditional and continental dishes, and has great management skills, then please do apply! Your role involves transforming the restaurant section of our guest house into a profitable part of the business. You will be on the look-out for ways to improve our guest house menu options. You'll alternate shifts with our current Chef to manage the kitchen staff, prepare meals, monitor existing stock and raise purchasing orders with the Marketing Manager or Managing Director to buy new stock. You'll also report regularly to our friendly Managing Director to discuss your progress so far and share innovative ways of improving and promoting our services to our room guests, bar guests and the wider public. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily preparations of meals in the kitchen during your shift. This also includes maintaining clean and safe working conditions in the kitchen at all times.
Improve existing dishes and introduce new ones to the menu including starters, main meals and desserts, based on any popular requests from our guests, and your observations of what's trending, or selling fast.
Portion and price every dish in our menu, considering the cost of different ingredients, the labour/resources involved in preparing it, and the profit we want to make from it. You'll be expected to keep an eye on changes in market prices of food stuff to adjust our sales prices as needed, ensuring our services remain both affordable and profitable.
Train and supervise the kitchen staff to maintain excellent customer service - great presentation of ordered meals, and responding promptly to room and bar guests.
Expand our existing menu or plan special events to bring more guests to the bar. The Managing Director loves creative ideas and is willing to provide the resources you need to test them out.

Passion for food and hospitality
Strong organizational and management skills
Innovative, curious and willing to take calculated risks to improve and expand our restaurant services.
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Must have basic computer literacy - knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not essential
