· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any other related field. · A master’s degree is an added advantage · Other certifications may include Certified Management Accountant, Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), ICAN etc · Experience with accounting software and data entry · Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) · Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets · Ability to work independently · Analytical skills · Good organization, time management, administrative and scheduling skills · Ability to multitask
Reconciling the bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
Ensuring office supplies are maintained
checking inventory and working with vendors to always ensure adequate levels of necessary office supplies
Completing analysis of employee expenditures
Managing income and expenditure accounts
Ensuring the confidentiality and security of files and filing systems
Initiating and managing financial and accounting software to be used
Generating financial reports using income and expenditure data
Keeping a check on finances based on financial status
Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
Coordinating schedules and arranging meetings.
Ensuring accurate entrees are made using the Sage Accounting Software
Ensuring proper vouchers and entrees made are all accurate
