The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day operations, performance, and safety of a team within their area of responsibility of the warehouse. This role is essential in assisting your team with delivering warehouse & distribution activities on time, in spec and to the highest quality.
This role is Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work expected during the peak season.
Key Responsibilities:

Train, coach and mentor members of your team to achieve departmental goals, maintain compliance and assist them with growing their careers.
Plan weekly/daily work requirements in conjunction with the Group Leader and communicate those to your team
Learn to understand internal and external food safety and quality requirements, and how these apply to your team
Build an uncompromising safety culture within your team
Champion continuous improvement and encourage team members to find new ideas to improve work practices

About You
The successful candidate will be experienced in warehouse best practice within a large-scale distribution environment, experience with perishable goods or within the food manufacturing industry is advantageous but not essential. Previous leadership experience is desirable, but not essential. You must have a willingness to learn and develop

Experience in warehouse & distribution
Strong communication skills
Be a high performer with a positive attitude, focused on continuous improvement
Proficient computer literacy
Solutions focused problem solving in a fast-paced environment
