Te Whiwhinga mahi – The opportunity
In partnership with Right Service Right Time (RSRT), Purapura Whetu Trust is one of four host agencies alongside Presbyterian Support Upper South Island, Barnardo’s, and St John of God Waipuna looking to fill a part time role, 30 hours a week (0.8 FTE), fixed term position until 30 June 2025.

There is an exciting opportunity for qualified and registered professionals to work in a co-designed service, Te Whiri Ora. Te Whiri Ora is a whānau-centred coordination service that supports tamariki, rangatahi and whānau, who present with multiple and complex challenges, to access multiple cross-sector services to meet their goals and needs for wellbeing.

Ngā kawenga matua o te mahi – Key responsibilities of the role
Your role as a Te Whiri Ora Kaiwhiri will include managing requests for service and engaging with whānau and cross-sector professionals in a collaborative and mana-enhancing manner that enhances efficient service delivery to achieve whānau and tamariki–guided goals.
RSRT Te Whiri Ora is calling for applications from people committed to whānau wellbeing who can bring the following experiences and skills to the role:

  • Experience of engaging with whānau, tamariki and rangatahi in a client-led process that has manaakitanga
  • Ability to work in a bi-cultural environment and a commitment to equity as laid down by Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Belief in the importance of working collaboratively and flexibly with whānau, across disciplines, teams and sectors
  • Experience of building and sustaining relationships with the community
  • Enjoyment of team functioning and sharing experiences, theories and tools to continuously improve practice
  • An eye for detail in information collecting and sharing, case-note recording, assessment, planning and reporting
  • Full registration and current practicing certificate
  • Full driver’s licence
