Mō tēnei mahi | About this job

We are currently looking for a proative and poassionate Pouwhirinaki – Te Tohu Reo Rumaki to join us. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Māngere, Auckland.
The primary role of the Pouwhirinaki – Te Tohu Reo Rumaki is to coordinate, implement, and support the delivery of Te Tohu Reo Rumaki. This includes assisting Kaiako and tauira, stepping in to present material when needed, supporting the management and marking aromatawai, ensuring consistent learning experiences across different cohorts, and supporting engagement with the learning management system.

Mōu | About you

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, collaborative, and passionate about supporting immersive language learning, ensuring smooth delivery and consistency for all involved.
You will also bring with you:
  • Diploma Level 6 in te reo Māori and/or ideally working towards a higher level reo qualification
  • Ideally hold a Diploma in Adult Teaching (Level 5) or equivalent
  • Full drivers’ license
  • 2+ years’ experience teaching full immersion te reo Māori
  • 2+ years’ experience teaching high contact hours of immersive language learning
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
