We’re excited to announce that New World The Sands will be joining the community later this year! With a brand-new store and impressive offering across grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce and liquor, we can’t wait to open our doors to the Papamoa community!
With our opening date set for November 2024, we’re seeking friendly store assistants to join the team. You’ll play a key part in our journey post successful store opening and continuously deliver an awesome shopping experience for our community.
Part-time & Full-time hours available across a variety of shifts (mornings, mid-day, evening)

The Role:
- Provide a high level of customer service and assisting customers where needed.
- Ensure good quantity and range of products are available on our shelves.
- Stock shelves/displays – merchandising fresh fruit, vegetables or dry goods.
- Ensure high standards of presentation and cleanliness across departments.
- Build relationships with the wider team and leadership to get the very best results.
- We’re in it together, we look after each other, back one another, communicate effectively, and work together as one winning team, every time.
- Prove yourself in a new store and within New World which is known for its people development and career opportunities.
- You’ll be working with the latest technology, equipment, and processes.
- Drive something within a flexible and creative working environment – if there’s a better way, let us know!

- Ability to work alone and independently, and productively
- Awesome communication skills
- Eye for detail and pride in presentation
