We are looking for Lifeguards to join us over the summer season.

As a Seasonal Lifeguard, you will play a key part in ensuring that all customers have an enjoyable but safe experience over the busy summer period.
Your mahi will be to ensure pool users have quality supervision and ensure health and safety standards are upheld.
Our community pools (Inglewood, Okato & Waitara) are open from November 2024 through to March 2025.
You will need to be confident in the water, have the flexibility to be able to work at different locations, weekends and public holidays if required, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
He kōrero mōu: About you:
We will give you full training for this role and you will gain a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC)!
You will be required to obtain a comprehensive first aid qualification prior to commencing employment.
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to undergo a swim test which includes swimming 200 metres in under 6 minutes and to tread water for 5 minutes.
For these roles you do need to be at least 16 years old.

You can expect to start in this role on $27.80 per hour. As a NPDC employee you will also enjoy free use of the Seasonal Pool where you work.
This role is considered a children’s worker role and will be subject to safety checking as part of the Children’s Act 2014.
