Sime Darby Motors NZ is thrilled to announce the opening of our new, state-of-the-art distribution centre at Waterloo Park, Christchurch. This purpose-built hub marks an exciting chapter in our commitment to delivering excellence in the automotive industry. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Store Person to join our expanding team at this new facility.
Role Overview
As a Store Person you play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our South Island distribution centre. Reporting to the Team Leader, you are part of a wider collaborative team of skilled reach and forklift operators, pickers and inwards and dispatch specialists making it happen. It is you that keep us moving each day, ensuring our customers have the supplies they need to keep New Zealand on the road.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Picking, packing and dispatch of customer orders
- Manual handling of goods and forklift duties
- Unpacking, checking and receipting of goods into stock
- Sorting, loading and unloading of vehicles
- General housekeeping duties
- Support our strong safety culture and call out unsafe practices
The ideal candidate will have previous Store Person experience, preferably within a larger Distribution environment, along with
- Forklift and Reach licenses and operating experience (OSH and F-endorsement a bonus)!
- Ability to manage your time well and think on your feet
- A self-motivated, can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team
- The capability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good computer skills including knowledge of stock control systems
