We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Safety Manager to join our Hastings team, who will be responsible for ensuring that Health and Safety Management System elements under control of the Health and Safety Department are in control and capable of delivering on their purpose.

About the role

Provides coaching and mentoring to the Site Health and Safety Manager
Utilizes internal and external resources in the execution of the ANZ safety strategy
Manages Worker’s Compensation in consultation with external service providers and ANZ regional team
Plans and budgets specific programs and activities to prevent employee injury and illness and increase employee well-being
Serves as Lead Investigator for significant incidents that may occur at the plant, serve as Investigation Team Member for other plant’s investigations

About you

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Health and Safety Manager, minimum 7 years total as an OHS practitioner.
Conversant in Lean Manufacturing Principles with a focus on the Plan-Do-Check-Act process.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing a variety of unrelated projects with a results-oriented approach, logical thinking, and superior problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to lead, influence, and coach individuals at all levels of the organization.
Facilitating detailed and comprehensive risk assessment activities, beyond individual, task-based assessments
