You will be a key part of an effective and engaged team who deliver high quality Building Assurance services. We are customer focused and get things done. We are seeking a highly experienced Building Assurance Officer with the drive to grow team capability and a strong customer focus.
As a Senior Building Assurance Officer, you will be required to:

As a Senior Building Assurance Officer, you will be required to:
- Provide technical expertise and advice on matters relating to the Building Act 2004, New Zealand Building Code and other associated regulations
- Ensure our customers receives professional, reliable, and timely advice across a broad range of building regulatory matters
- Contribute to developing and maintaining a technically capable team through mentoring and developing others.
- Actively participate in business improvements, team decision making and provide technical support to peers and leadership team
You will be confident and capable working on building related applications and queries. You’ll be energetic and organised with an analytical mind; your interpersonal skills will influence and engage others.
You’ll need to show us that you:
- have a high level of technical building knowledge and significant work experience in building control
- have in-depth knowledge and application of the Building Act 2004, New Zealand Building Code and associated regulations
- have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to foster effective working relationships
- can mentor and coach others on a technical level and bring a positive approach to developing others
