Join our dynamic team as a Senior Adviser Protective Security, where you'll provide protective security expertise to enable Te Pūtea Matua to achieve its strategic priorities, meet government mandated security requirements, and achieve a high level of capability maturity. Te tūranga - The role The Senior Adviser Protective Security is an experienced practitioner with a good understanding of all aspects of the NZ Government's Protective Security Requirements. You will support the Manager Security Governance & Assurance to ensure Te Pūtea Matua has robust and functional physical and personnel security frameworks in accordance with the Government's Protective Security Requirements, and with capability, practices and procedures to effectively maintain and deliver that framework. Please note that this is not an IT security role.Ō pūkenga - About you To be successful you'll have:
A minimum three years' experience as a protective security requirements practitioner in NZ government.
A good understanding of the NZ Government's Protective Security Requirements framework.
The ability to identify and assess threats to an organisation's assets across the threat-spectrum aligned to NZ Government threat levels.
The ability to identify security risks and impacts and provide best-practice advice regarding reasonably practicable mitigations.
Experience in the production of security policies and procedures which comply with current legislation and enable organisational business needs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
